Dix Davis's association with Bancroft over the past 40 years has been one of great dedication. Through his work as a Trustee from 1982-1997, and as President of the Board from 1992-1995, he demonstrated a devotion to the aims and mission of the School. During his tenure he served on numerous committees including personnel, buildings and grounds, and development, and chaired both the finance and investment committees. He oversaw balanced budgets during his years as treasurer, and was instrumental in helping the School's growth.

Together with his family—wife Sarah, a former second-grade teacher and librarian, and their three children, Tom ’88, Bill ’90, and Margaret “Muffy” ’95—Dix has remained a dedicated supporter and ambassador of Bancroft School.
