The Annual Giving Manager will be an experienced, talented relationship manager looking for a position where passion and innovation are encouraged and supported.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join a strong advancement team in a front-line fundraising position. The Annual Giving Manager strategizes, implements and directs all aspects of annual giving to the school in conjunction with the Chief Advancement Officer. The position is responsible for increasing dollars and participation annually through education, personal meetings, events, and written solicitations. The Annual Giving Manager will be self-directed and work in a strategic way to identify, cultivate, steward, and solicit donors – often times while working with parent and alumni volunteers. They will also work with and write grants to foundations on a regular basis. The position offers a prime opportunity for someone who is proactive, analytic and has superb organizational skills to incorporate their creative talents. Poised confidence and the ability to deal diplomatically and effectively with all types of people in all types of situations as well as the ability to work with and analyze data from a constituent database is critical to success in this position. As a member of a small team, the ability to work from a database, merge letters, and work within excel documents is a must. Previous experience working with Abila / Sage database preferred. This is a full-time, 52-week per year position.
The ideal candidate would have:
- Ability to work occasional weekends and evenings.
- Experience with constituent databases, Microsoft Word merges, and excel.
- Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to communicate clearly and convincingly.
- Prior experience with databases and data analytics.
- Experience developing solicitation materials, volunteer recruitment, training and management.
- Prior experience working in an Advancement Office.
