Bancroft School seeks an Upper School math teacher to join our dynamic team of educators starting immediately. We are looking for someone who can teach any level of Upper School college-preparatory mathematics, including calculus. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to engage students in meaningful inquiry, problem solving, and collaborative exploration.

Bancroft’s desire to expand its emphasis on inquiry-based learning provides opportunities for creative approaches to teaching and learning. Experience in designing and implementing projects in math is a plus as we continue to develop and refine our curriculum. Technological savvy is a must as each Upper School student and teacher utilizes personal technology both inside and outside of the classroom. A master’s degree in math or math education is strongly desired.

We seek collaborative teachers who are ready to participate in all aspects of Upper School life. The teacher will work with others in the math department and across disciplines, and will report directly to the Head of Upper School. In addition to classroom teaching, the position includes participation in all aspects of Upper School life, including coaching, club leadership, and advising. A willingness to participate with enthusiasm in all aspects of the school community is essential.

Bancroft is committed to cultivating and sustaining a community that embraces difference and welcomes candidates who will add to the racial and cultural diversity of our community.

If interested please send a cover letter, references and resume to: Nichole Aubin, Executive Assistant to the Head of School, Bancroft School, 110 Shore Drive, Worcester, MA 01605 or email it to naubin@bancroftschool.org.
