Bancroft Announces 2018-19 US Drama and US Musical
Posted 09/04/2018 11:21AM

Bancroft’s Performing Arts Department has announced the two shows that will make up its 2018-2019 Upper School (US) theater season!

  • The US Drama, Almost, Maine, will be warming hearts from December 6–9, 2018!

  • The crowd-pleasing US Musical, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown will run March 7– 9, 2019.

US Drama - Almost, Maine

Almost, Maine is a series of interlocking stories written by John Cariani dealing with love, relationships, and expectations in a small American town. Various reviewers have described the play as sweet, poignant, charming, witty, intimate, and nearly perfect! With Paul Belanger directing, and a cast of (yet-to-be-determined) student actors and tech crew, we know this show will be brilliant.

US Musical - Charlie Brown

You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown is based on the beloved Peanuts comic strip characters created by Charles M. Schulz, with music and lyrics by Clark Gesner. The whole family will enjoy Charlie Brown, a classic that's been delighting audiences since 1967. Chris Sheldon, who will be directing the musical comedy, jokes that it is "about as big a tone shift as possible from Cabaret [last year’s musical]!"

Mark your calendars for these special performances! Both will take place in the Harrington Theatre and both are family-friendly productions. Tickets are now on sale – PURCHASE ONLINE.
