US Visual Arts Students Travel En Masse to MASS MoCA & The Clark
Posted 12/04/2017 04:36PM

Early in the morning on Friday, December 1, Upper School students from all the studio art, art history, ceramics, and photography classes joined five faculty chaperones and hit the road. They were bound for the western part of the state on a field trip to experience two phenomenal art venues — MASS MoCA in North Adams and The Clark Art Institute in Williamstown. Through guided tours and independent exploration in the galleries, our students and teachers were able to admire and gain inspiration from the output of other creative minds.

Senior Penh A., a student in the Global Art Studies class, captured the day in his own way: “Being someone interested in film, I videoed the entire trip and created this video, which I hope gives a sense of what it was like.” Watch Penh’s video and experience for yourself what learning can look like when you take it outside of the classroom and engage with the others who share your interests and passions.
