Lower School (grades PreK – 5) classroom teachers are responsible for the core academic subjects of literacy, mathematics, and central subject. Specialists teach science, Spanish, physical education, and the arts. Beginning in grade 2, classroom teachers collaborate with learning specialists in teaching students with language-based learning differences, developing an understanding of the philosophies that drive our Hope Graham Program.

Faculty in the Middle School teach four classes, advise a group of 7 – 9 students, and work with students in activities and clubs. A willingness to collaborate with learning specialists in teaching students with language-based learning differences, developing an understanding of the philosophies that drive our Hope Graham Program, and the ability to contribute to the Middle School science team as they develop an exciting curricular redesign are all essential. The best candidates will also demonstrate an ability to successfully collaborate with colleagues across disciplines and be an integral member of the PK – 12 science department.

Faculty in the Upper School English Department teach across all four grade levels of English. While curriculum is in place, faculty are encouraged -- and expected -- to propose new ideas and enthusiastically collaborate with peers in the department as we continually embrace current pedagogy and expand our multicultural offerings. Developing students' skills as critical thinkers, analytical and creative writers, positive contributors and collaborators is central to this position.
