Alumni, Students, Faculty, Families, Friends
The Bancroft community began in 1900 when a small group of parents joined together to provide
"a complete school training to students and to surround them with wholesome and refining influences." It is that spirit, of individuals working together toward a common goal, that remains today as the hallmark of the Bancroft community.
Every day on our campus there are images of students supporting and encouraging one another; administrators creating an atmosphere that encourages learning; teachers generating enthusiasm for learning; staff supporting the smooth functions of school; and parents becoming partners in education and in the life of the School.
But the community doesn’t end on the boundaries of Shore Drive. It finds power in the stories of alumni who live meaningful lives; in the words of the grandparents who proudly talk about Bancroft to their friends; in the number of students who stay in touch with their former teachers long after graduation; in the hundreds of alumni who return to us year after year, decade after decade, to reunite with their Bancroft family; and in the thousands of friendships that enrich our School daily.
