Lower School
Lower School
How do Lower School students love what they learn? They channel their creativity and curiosity through fun—and challenging—activities in science, math, arts, literature, and more.
A CENTRAL SUBJECT
Each year, Lower School students delve deep into a new Central Subject, a unifying topic that combines academic lessons, writing projects, performances, and field trips.
MASTERING NUMBERS + WORDS
Lower Schoolers master basic (and complex!) math principles. They also devote 90 minutes each day to sharpening their reading, spelling, and writing skills—and form a budding relationship with literature.
LEADERS BY EXAMPLE
As the Lower School's elder statesmen, students in 5th grade go through a year of leadership training and development.
