Extended Day Programs
We are pleased to offer Aftercare on campus until 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday on school days. Aftercare is available for students in grades PreK-8. The program's mission is to provide a safe space for students until parents or guardians can pick up their children.

Do I need to register my child?
Yes - please register at bancroftschool.
Will my child have an after school snack?
Yes - A healthy snack is provided for children participating in the Aftercare program.
Do I need to register my child if they are coming from after school sports?
Yes! Middle School athletics run from 2:45 - 4:00 pm. Families that need additional childcare from 4:00 - 5:30 pm are required to sign up for and report to Aftercare immediately following the end of the practice / game. Please be sure to choose the Athlete Aftercare program to receive specialty pricing.

Lower / Middle School Enrichment
Each semester Lower and Middle School students at Bancroft can choose from a variety of engaging opportunities to see what new skills can be developed or passions will be ignited! Typically held in 6-8 week sessions, Bancroft’s Enrichment Programs often center around S.T.E.M., Art, Business & Economics, Robotics, Cultural Exploration and Imaginative & Strategic play. With so much variety, there is certainly something for every Bancroft student!

After School Tutoring Services
Bancroft School offers the opportunity to encourage students' academic success through After School Tutoring Services. With the assistance of Bancroft’s own faculty, students can receive dedicated one-on-one time needed to master a skill set, dive deeper into a certain subject, or simply get help with homework.

Music Lessons
On-campus Music Lessons have returned for 2022-2023! Develop musical passions with talented and experiences instructors in Violin, Guitar, Piano, or beginner level Woodwinds.

Piano: Peter Melo
Peter Petrika Melo is experienced as music & piano teacher and concert pianist. He has performed at prestigious venues such as Mechanics Hall, Worcester Auditorium, Carnegie Hall, and Lincoln Center, and has collaborated with great artists including Luciano Pavarotti. Mr. Melo teaches all levels of students, and styles of music from classical to jazz and more, giving students an opportunity to learn quickly with a high level of piano technique while still being able to enjoy a professional way of performing in recitals and concerts. Many of his former students are now professional musician-performers and teachers.
In addition to their musical skills, Mr. Melo helps students develop:

- Visual and aural memory
- Time management
- Organization
- Goal-setting and task completion
- Problem solving
- Confidence in facing new challenges.
After receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree & Pianist Diploma, Mr. Melo studied conditioning at The Juilliard School with Prof. Judith Clurman; music theory and jazz composition at Mannes College School of Music with Prof. LeeAnn Ledgerwood; and orchestration with Prof. Peter Bellino.
In addition to teaching piano at Bancroft School, he is the pianist and organist at First Congregational Church in Holden, MA.
Guitar: David Mancevice
David Mancevice studied at E.U. Wurlitzer Music with Michael Herzog before attending Berklee College of Music from 2002-2005. Studying privately with Boston-based guitarists Jon Damian and Bruce Bartlett, David began teaching in 2012 at Kurlan Music and currently teaches at E.L Music. He has been teaching at Bancroft School since 2014. All styles and ages are welcome!!

Ski / Ride Program
The Bancrofts Ski & Ride program is back for 2023! This program is suitable for children in grades 3-12 with all levels of experience. We look forward to seeing you on the slopes!

General Information
The Wachusett Mountain Ski Club is a very popular winter activity for Bancroft students. Adult chaperones accompany the children to every session. They are there to help with equipment, offer guidance to find lessons and rentals, manage the mountain lift tickets, and monitor the suite.
- The Ski Club meets Fridays for 6 sessions: January 6, 13, 20, 27 and February 3 & 10, 2023.
- Motor coach transportation departs Bancroft right after school, returning at 8:45 pm
- Ski Club is open to students Grades 3-12, but students younger than 5th grade must provide their own transportation and be accompanied by an adult at the mountain.
- Suitable for all levels of experience—many children have had their first skiing experience and learned through this program.
- Adult chaperones accompany students each week.
- Significant discounts on lift tickets, lessons, and season passes.
- Private, Bancroft-only suite in lodge for suiting up, storing gear, relaxing
This is truly a great program that allows skiers and riders of all levels to have great fun. We hope you’ll join us this winter season!
Cost
2022-23 Pricing
- Cost of $173.00 includes all lift tickets for the program ($203 if purchased after 12/1).
- Cost of $249.00 includes round-trip transportation and suite fee.
- Cost of $50.00 suite fee for any students NOT taking the bus.
- Optional equipment rentals and lessons are additional and can be paid for at the mountain or through the website.
Register
In order to register, first purchase your lift ticket on the Wachusett Mountain website using our school code (BCFT).
Then, register your child on our auxiliary website for transportation / suite and select Ski Club 2022-23. Once you've completed both steps, you will have completed your registration. If you have any questions, please contact skiclub@bancroftschool.org
