Cultivating Student Curiosity Into Valuable Experiences
Our student-run organizations offer opportunities for learners to explore their independence. Many students participate in several clubs during the year as the schedule has built-in time for meetings.
Student-run implies student leadership. At Bancroft, we place great value on developing our students’ leadership skills. By participating in and managing their clubs, they learn responsibility, teamwork, communication, and the ability to solve problems. These unique experiences shape the minds of our students, preparing them for the challenges of the future.
- Unleashed: A Student-Run Publication – The entirely student-run, entirely electronic school newspaper, Unleashed, features the voices of our community and celebrates the work and achievements of our students. The publication covers an array of pressing and timely topics—from politics to poetry to movie reviews.
- Robotics – Led by Coach Elisa Heinricher, the Bancroft Robodogs design, build, and program cutting-edge machines that vie for the top spot in VEX world robotic championships.
- Speech – Who says you can't be a nationally recognized speech team and have fun at the same time? The Bancroft Speech team has been a force in the Massachusetts Speech & Debate League.
