Since 1900, Bancroft has been home to a caring and supportive community dedicated to helping young people be the best versions of themselves. Our rich history and bright future have everything to do with the remarkable alumni, faculty, staff, students, and families both past and present that make Bancroft so special.
Worcester’s Unrivaled School Community
The Bancroft School community extends beyond its students, faculty, staff, parents, and alumni to include the greater Worcester community. The school values its connection to the city and actively seeks opportunities to engage with and contribute to the local community.
Bancroft School encourages students to develop a sense of civic responsibility and actively participate in community service and outreach programs. Through these initiatives, students learn the importance of giving back and making a positive difference in the lives of others. The school also collaborates with local organizations and community partners to address social issues and support community development.
In addition to community service, Bancroft School opens its doors to the Worcester community for various events and programs. The school hosts public lectures, performances, art exhibitions, and athletic competitions that are open to the public. These events not only showcase the talents and achievements of Bancroft students but also provide opportunities for community members to come together and enjoy shared experiences.
Bancroft School also maintains strong relationships with local businesses and organizations. Through partnerships and internships, students have the opportunity to gain real-world experience and develop professional skills. The school actively seeks ways to collaborate with the Worcester community to enrich the educational experiences of its students.
In the summer of 2003 an academic journey of discovery began when two of Worcester's Schools — Elm Park Community and Bancroft School — teamed up to achieve something special: The Worcester Partnership.
