Dear Bancroft Community,
Last week's pooled testing revealed a total of 3 positive COVID-19 tests throughout our school community. Those 3 families have been reached out to for next steps.
Some families will have received an email from the lab with your personal negative result only if your sample was in the "pool" with the positive test. The pools were grouped randomly at the lab. However, a majority of the negative results would not have been emailed directly. If you did not receive an email at all, your test was negative.
The key for us to remain in-person will be maintaining our level of diligence with our protocols to prevent any significant viral spread. Mask-wearing, hand-hygiene, social distancing, and staying home when sick will continue to be the keys to keeping our community safe. Please remember to also remain home if results from a COVID-19 test are pending.
COVID-19 Testing This Week To identify any additional asymptomatic cases of COVID-19 within our population, we will once again distribute COVID-19 saliva test kits to all members of our campus community. Saliva test kits will be distributed on Tuesday to be completed and returned Wednesday morning. As a reminder, detailed instructions on completing the test can be found in this video. Please remember to scan the QR code to register the sample before drop off and ensure the correct Name and Date of Birth match.
Again, you will only be informed of the results of your test if it comes back positive. Negative results will only be reported to families if your test was collected from a pool that includes a positive test. We will work directly with families of any positive cases to ensure their health and safety. Any questions on this testing can be directed to our School Nurse Liza Marzilli.
Thank you for your continued support.
Best,
