Dear Bancroft Community,
The winter break is nearly here. I know how hard our teachers, staff, and students have been working and I hope this break is restful and full of quality time with family and friends. Before we depart, I want to provide some important information for when we get back and some additional calendar information for your future planning.
COVID-19 Testing After the Winter Break
We will be sending COVID-19 test kits home with students and faculty on our return to school Tuesday, January 4. This saliva test is a different design than the previous ones we have distributed and must be completed in the morning on Wednesday, January 5th prior to coming to school. We will collect the vials from everyone upon arrival at school, then the samples will be sent to the lab for PCR testing. Those who have had COVID-19 in the past 90 days are exempt from testing. Symptomatic individuals should stay home and not participate. Please review the detailed instructions for these tests in this video. In order for your test to be run at the lab, the consent form we have previously provided MUST be completed in advance and all steps in the instructions completed. If these steps are not completed, the lab will throw away your test tube. Those of you that have not yet completed the consent form will be notified in a separate email.
Major Dates Calendar 2022-23
We are pleased to announce our Major Dates Calendar for 2022-23. While this should be considered a reliable baseline document to begin your planning for next year, some event dates are subject to change and we will communicate any changes as necessary.
Admissions Information
The Admissions Office has been very busy with families inquiring about joining our community. We hope you will help us spread the word with upcoming virtual admissions events happening on Thursday, January 19 (Lower and Middle School) and Wednesday, January 26 (Upper School). Feel free to direct any potential students and families that might be a good fit at Bancroft to this webpage to learn more about these sessions. We are also currently taking mid-year applications for all grades including our PreK program which now has both PreK 3 (students born after October 1, 2017) and your standard PreK program (students who are age 4 before October 1, 2017). We appreciate your help in ushering in the next great group of students to Bancroft.
