The Bancroft Fund exclusively supports Bancroft’s annual operating budget. It directly impacts our students and faculty, providing the essential dollars necessary for continued academic, programmatic, and campus enhancements, as well as faculty professional development.

Like most independent schools, Bancroft relies on tuition income, Bancroft Fund income, and endowment income to support the day-to-day operation of our school. Tuition alone does not cover the cost of educating a Bancroft student — the Bancroft Fund helps to bridge that gap.

Each year, tax-deductible gifts to the Bancroft Fund are counted in the fiscal year (July 1 to June 30) during which they are made.

The Head's Circle is Bancroft School’s Leadership Giving Society

Frank Robson Society        $25,000 and above
Centennial Society             $10,000 to $24,999
George Bancroft Society       $5,000 to $9,999
Sever Street Society              $3,000 to $4,999
1900 Society                            $1,900 to $2,999
Blue & Grey Society                 $1,500 to $1,899
Young Alumni Circle                   $250 to $1,499 *(1-10 years since graduating)

Donors who make annual gifts of $1,500 or more (or young alumni gifts of $250 or more), including matching gifts, are recognized as members of The Head’s Circle. Donors at this level are critically important to the success of Bancroft’s fundraising efforts, providing philanthropic leadership that inspires donors at all levels to invest in Bancroft.  The Head’s Circle donors are recognized in donor listings, receive specialized communications throughout the year, and are invited to an annual reception hosted by the Head of School and Board of Trustees.

The George Bancroft Legacy Society is an honorary association of individuals whose planned gifts have already been received or will someday accrue to Bancroft School.
