6 - 8 Grade Reading Assignments

All Grades:  Read one book from the MS Book Group List.

At the start of school, small, multi-grade groups will convene to discuss their shared
reading experience with a faculty member who has also read the same book.
There is no written assignment - just come ready with ideas, insight, and

Optional Math Enrichment

Students are encouraged to check out Khan Academy to review and to practice your math skills throughout the summer.  Specifically focusing on the "mission" associated with your recently completed grade level.  For example, if you are entering grade 6, search for and work on the "5th grade mission" over the summer.

Alternately, students are able to access their IXL accounts over the summer as well.  The logins remain the same as during the school year, and, similar to Khan Academy, students can access their recently finished school year in the math section, and complete any (or all!) of the topics there.
