Admission Process for Upper School: Grades 9-12

The application deadline for the 2026-2027 school year is January 15, 2026. Applications submitted after that date will be evaluated on a rolling basis if there are still spaces available.
There are very limited spaces available for a mid-year start in the current school year. Please contact us if you are interested in enrolling your student for the current academic year.
Admission Steps
1. Schedule a campus visit.
- During your visit, you’ll complete a campus tour, a student interview, and a parent/guardian interview. International students can complete this step virtually.
2. Complete the student and parent portions of the Online Application via the Standard Online Application (SAO). Please remember that our application is made up of multiple SAO components (Candidate Profile/Bio, Parent Statement, Student Supplement, if we are missing one of those components, your application will be considered incomplete.)
- Submit School Records (current year and two previous years)
- Submit recommendation from current English teacher
- Submit recommendation from current Math teacher
- Submit character recommendation (from a coach, instructor, additional teacher, or tutor)
- Standardized testing (optional)*
- Supplemental portfolio (optional)**
- Educational testing (if needed)***
* We accept both SSAT and ISEE scores. Students that choose not to submit SSAT or ISEE scores will not be penalized in any way. The SSAT code for Bancroft School is 1480.
** If you have a well-developed talent in the creative, performing arts, athletics, robotics, etc. you may submit samples of your work for review. Please email your submission to us at admission@bancroftschool.org.
