Applicants must have a Master's Degree in Reading Literacy, and/or Special Education. A strong classroom teaching or tutoring background with experience in developing an individiualized curriculum is required.

Knowledge of multi-sensory approaches such as Orton-Gillingham, and other methodologies proved to be successful with LBLD learners as well as a familiarity with neuropsychological evaluations is needed. Interested candidates must be willing to pursue continuing professional development courses during the summer of 2013.

Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in music or music education, plus 3-5 years' relevant teaching experience, and have the ability to:

  • Teach general music classes in the Middle School and music theory classes in the Upper School.
  • Direct musical ensembles in Lower School (Band), MS (Band) and US (Jazz)
  • Compose, arrange, and conduct for concerts and musical theatre productions
  • Perform general school duties that may cut across divisions
