LS Enrichment Programs 

Led by qualified teachers, LS Enrichment Programs (formerly known as After-School Clubs) provide LS students with after-school opportunities to engage with other students, build friendships across grades, and enrich their love of learning.

Mondays

Little Chefs:
Cooking Enrichment (Grades K-2)

Join Bancroft Alumna Courtney Ordway and learn by exploring with your senses in the kitchen! Students will be able to enhance math skills by measuring solids and liquids, science skills by observing how temperature changes the properties of food, and knowledge of colors and shapes by describing and naming foods and cooking equipment. Each week students will learn a new recipe to bring home and re-create with their family.

Blue Toolbox:
Woodworking (Grades 4-5)

NOTE: This class meets on both Mondays and Wednesdays.

New and experienced builders will join LS science teacher Mason Hendershott to learn basic hand tool use and wood shop safety while working on their own project. First-time participants will make a classic birdhouse. Returning Blue Toolbox builders will create a cool, angled garden box!

Math Enrichment (Grades K – 2)

It's a totally new kind of math club! Students will join LS teachers Kaitlyn Conor and Kim Boin as they build, run and jump, make music, and make a mess. Math will never be the same!

Instructors from Play-Well TEK will lead the way as you let your imagination run wild with tens of thousands of LEGO parts! Build engineer-designed projects such as: Trains, Helicopters, Treehouses, and Beam Bridges. Design and build as never before, and explore your craziest ideas in a supportive environment.

Level up your engineering skills with Play-Well TEK and tens of thousands of LEGO parts! Apply real-world concepts in physics, engineering, and architecture through engineer-designed projects such as: Gear Cars, Gondolas, Merry-Go-Rounds, and Scissor Lifts. Design and build as never before, and explore your craziest ideas in a supportive environment.

  • Who: Grade 3-5
