Academic Program
The comprehensive curriculum of the Upper School provides students
thought-provoking exercises and skills necessary for a lifetime of
learning. Students in all classes heighten their individual skills of
inquiry and develop their team-building skills through collaborative
work. Research projects are required at every grade level.
Ours is a liberal arts education. Students are required to complete
courses in English, history, mathematics, science, the arts, physical
education, health/ethics and a foreign language. Qualified juniors and
seniors may take one of fourteen Advanced Placement, college-level
courses.
To earn a diploma, a student must accumulate a minimum of 20 credits,
complete 30 hours of community service, and demonstrate expertise in an
area of individual choice through work on a Senior Presentation. See
our
Standard Pattern for courses.
